My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET SWEET LUKE! Luke is a happy & lovable 3-1/2-year-old Pit/Boxer mix in need of a foster or forever home! He had been adopted, but his owner died, and so he went back into the rescue. He has a wonderful disposition; he gets along great with other dogs and is very loving and affectionate to his people. He also loves to fetch balls and bring them back to you. Luke also isn't a big barker, unless someone barks at him. He walks well on a leash, and is a strong boy. He doesn't shed much! Luke also loves treats and is very treat motivated.

He was rescued from a California shelter originally after he became urgent for lack of space. While there, he was kenneled with another female dog and did great. He's been tested with numerous dogs and has done well with everyone. He's a loving, easygoing boy.

Luke currently weighs about 60 lbs and needs a foster or forever home. Please email for an application.

More about this rescue

Freedom Ride Rescue Inc. is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization that saves hundreds of dogs and cats annually. We are an all-breed rescue, and do not shy away from tough cases. We believe all animals deserve a chance at a happy life, and we do our best to match people with their new pets. Every time a dog is adopted, it makes room for another needy dog, most often in an overcrowded shelter.

We adopt dogs/cats to people on the West Coast but also to other states as well, as we believe that animal lovers are everywhere! Please consider adopting one of our wonderful dogs or cats.
