Yuzu is a 10 month old Corgi mix ready to provide the zest your life has been looking for! Yuzu was rescued off the streets of South Korea by our amazing rescue partner. She flew across the Atlantic Ocean and landed in sunny California ready to start her happily ever after! Yuzu weighs 15 pounds and we expect she will end up around 18-20 pounds. She has fabulous little fox ears and a low-riding body which stops traffic when she hits the block. Ready for a burst of adorableness and sweet flavor? Adopt Yuzu!
Yuzu is a sweet and cuddly dog who would love a quiet home where she can curl up in your lap and watch the world pass by with you. Despite her rough beginning, she is curious and interested in people and the adventures beyond the front door. Yuzu loves giving kisses and her favorite spot for scratches is behind her amazing fox ears. Yuzu also loves toys and recently learned how to play tug-of-war. She had the biggest smile on her face as she raced back with the rope toy when she won and we were just so thrilled to see the signs of her settling in and making the backyard her own. Yuzu is the kind of dog who needs a patient home who can give her the time she needs to feel comfortable. If you let her come to you rather than overwhelm her with affection, you’ll find yourself cuddling your new best friend in no time.
Yuzu wakes up around 8 AM and heads into the yard with the resident dog to go potty and get her morning sniffs out. She comes inside for breakfast and then hangs out for most of the morning with the resident dog as her foster mom works. She gets a toy/play break around lunch followed by a short walk in the afternoon. She loves lounging on a soft bed and can snuggle like the best of them! Yuzu has dinner at 7 PM and then hangs out in the living room for the rest of the night until she’s ready for bed.
Yuzu gets along well with dogs and would do well with a confident dog who can continue showing her the ropes. Yuzu gets along well with cats as well! She is curious when meeting new people but has been building up her confidence more and more each day! We have no doubt that soon, Yuzu will be strutting down the street like she owns it!
Yuzu is an option for homes who have previously owned a dog. Ideally, there will be a resident dog. Kids should be over the age of 9.
