Hi there! My name is Maisie and I am looking for a special family to help me feel comfortable and confident in this big world. I love to run and chase after a ball or play with a doggy friend- I do get a bit excited when playing, so my doggy friend should equally be as excited when playing. I can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but with a little bit of patience and trust, I warm up and become your bff! I am very sweet but just dont have a lot of experience with life just yet. I dont mind cats! My current foster has 3 cats that I do watch occasionally, but we both mind our own business (; I have been especially shy around new men but my current foster and I are working on that.

I would do best in a home with another dog (playful) that can help show me the ropes! I would also do best in a consistent household that is willing to be patient with me and is able to keep up with my training. If you like to run around and get your paws dirty, I’m your girl! I have lots of love to give ❤️

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application.When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We have a virtual home-check process (don't forget to submit photos of the exterior of your home!) Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog after you have an approved app on file. Apps can be filled out at ewenityfarm.org

More about this rescue

We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
