My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fitz
I am a 3-year-old orange and white Tabby cat with an outstanding personality. My owner had to move to assisted living, and I could not come along. This doesn`t seem fair, but that`s what happens to a young cat when their owner is 90 years old! I am a playful sort of fellow, crazy about all toys, especially the ones that move! I frequently get the `zoomies` that are fun to experience and even more fun to watch! My owner loved them. Since I am in a 2-room apartment, I tend to hide under my mattress and nap. I can`t really get the zoomies in there. But I am a sweetheart of a cat and love attention. I was pleased to see the interviewer lady come for a visit. I crave receiving pets, ear scratches, and being `loved on.` If you think I`m cute in my photos, you are gonna love me in person! 12-18-24

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
