My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

Akito Man tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.

A volunteer writes: Sometimes we have to reach out a hand to a friend waiting on the sidelines. A welcoming gesture and an open heart can make a world of difference when someone is feeling unsure. Crouched on top of his cubby ledge, Akito Man was watching the comings and goings of Adoptions with enormous interest, but wasn't sure on where to begin. I opened his condo door with a treat and Akito Man sweetly headbutted the ceiling of his condo and sniffed my hand. Leaving the treat but explaining in his own gentle way that we're friends, Akito Man didn't take the leap to the front of the condo and I understood. We don't know too much about his history prior coming to the Care Center because he was found wandering around a building hallway, no one claimed him and he was brought to us where he's very patiently waiting for his forever family to open their hearts and homes to him.
