Name: Marley Bob
Nickname: Marley. Marley Bob Thornton.
Breed: Terrier Mix
Age: ~1 year
Sex: Male
Weight: 32 pounds
Before OMD: Surrendered to a local shelter after his family determined they didn't have time for him. Marley quickly won us over with his long body, short legs and floppy ears; and as luck would have it, we had a foster available who has a thing for wiry-haired, low-riders like our guy, Marley Bob.
Energy level: Medium. Marley requires a couple of good walks, or some fenced-in playtime to run his foster siblings daily. Once those needs are met, he’s content relaxing with his people or entertaining himself by tossing his toys in the air.
Decibel Scale: Marley has a big bark for a short guy, but hardly ever uses it [unless he’s playing]! Marley’s foster family lives in a condo and haven’t had any noise complaints!
Affection level: Super sweet and can also be independent (not overly clingy).
Descriptor Words: Happy. Silly. Sweet. Inquisitive. Long boy.
Doppelganger: He’s giving Toto vibes!
Life Motto: “Marley has more fans than Taylor Swift” - Overheard by some kiddos when he decided to crash their soccer practice for kisses and pets.
What we love: Obviously his ears. The right ear is always sticking straight up, with the left flopped over (they never switch). How friendly he is to everyone he meets. The way he pecks at toys with his snout to squeak them.
What he loves: People and dogs! He loves jumping in the car to go on an adventure. Waking up in the morning to roll all over you and give a million kisses.
What he’s working on: Leash manners (he’s a strong dude) and some basic obedience skills. With a little dedication and some high-value treats, he’ll be a champ in no time!
Dogs: Yes please! Marley loves supervised play with other dogs. He can play a little loud and hard but is super respectful if his playmate provides a friendly correction.
Kids: Loves ‘em!
Cats: Yup!
House-trained: 100% - total champ!
Crate-trained: We’ve heard he’s crate trained, however his current foster family has left him home with his foster siblings without crating and he’s been a perfect guest.
Marley Bob is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is available for adoption to residents of Connecticut and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from omdrescue.org
