My nature is mellow and sweet, and I'm always up for a friendly game of fetch or a leisurely walk. I'm young, so I have a lot of love to give and many years to give it. My past doesn't define me, but my future could with you. I'm just a simple dog, looking for a forever home. Why should you adopt me? Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
