My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lady, a charming and calm dog, who arrived in Minnesota on Friday, November 29th, from a shelter in Missouri. She didn't get much visibility there, and people have been missing out on her and delightful personality.

Lady is the perfect combination of sweetness and spunk! She is a medium to low energy dog. She has a calm demeanor but is also playful and would thrive in any home. Her joyful personality shines brightest in the fenced yard, where she loves zooming around and playing chase with the other dogs. She adores kids and wants to be near all the kids at the adoption events. She's a social butterfly with her humans but even more so with kids. She would adore having kids and other humans to play with, teaching her to play ball and engaging in playtime. After she's all zoomed out, she's happy to claim that empty spot on the couch for some well-deserved cuddle and nap time. She will also go into her kennel and lay down for naps on her own. Lady makes the perfect work from home buddy too. She will happily curl up under your desk wrapping herself up on your feet keeping those tootsies cozy warm.

Potty training is underway, and she’s making good progress! She’s learning to use pee pads and goes outside on a regular schedule. Her foster mom takes her out every couple of hours to help establish consistency. To ensure her continued success, she’ll need to maintain a regular routine. As with any transition, some accidents are to be expected as she adjusts to her new environment.

Although we were told Lady might be shy, she has proven otherwise. The moment she arrived, she eagerly approached everyone she met, soaking up all the attention, love, and pets she could get. She's a total love bug who thrives on being around people. Did I already say this little Lady absolutely adores those little humans?

Lady has already settled in beautifully just check out her photos! She gets along wonderfully with my resident dogs and other fosters. Even the cat doesn't bother her one bit! She's ready to bring endless love and laughter to her forever home.

Don't waste any time getting your application submitted for this little gem! Missouri's loss is Minnesota's gain!

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
