My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Contact the foster at, Santorokaitlyn26@gmail.com

His government name is Buzz- But I call him Dennis when he’s being a good boy, and Menace when his puppy energy comes out. But it’s all in play because he is a VERY sweet boy. (After the first day, that day was all Menace, but don’t tell anyone that.)

Understands what “No” means so just needs guidance on what is “yes” or “no” is in the house!

Incentivized by toys, loves fetch (will even return the ball nice!), and loves to “pull” with a rope (nicely!).

Leash manners are improving greatly! Can walk very gently by my side without pulling, great for long walk lovers!
Will sit when I’m picking up his poop.
He’s learning to not run away or pull on the leash when entering or leaving doors bc he is strong if he pulls unexpectedly, he will graduate from academy soon.

Does not like to be separated (tries to play/run away when he knows it’s time, but he just needs to establish trust and he goes in fine) but once separated, a single “No” for the first whine or jumping stops him and he can then be left without whining, scratching or jumping until I come back (30min-hour so far)
He’s kept in the bathroom with a bed when alone for nap time or training time.
Sleeps well in his own bed next to my bed.

Very friendly with other dogs, definitely wants to play. Since he’s still healing I haven’t let him interact much, but when he met my 10 yo herding dog, I let Kane correct some of his puppy/dominant behaviors and Dennis responded well, stopped pawing him.

Fine with cats, does not bark. But gets excited and our house cat said heck no. I don’t think he would hurt them though, just curious.
Have not interacted him with kids, can’t see it being a problem once he has a little more body awareness to not knock them over.

Overall an amazing and gentle dog once he feels safe and doesn’t feel like he needs to be in charge.

House trained, no accidents yet. He did try a few times, but always stopped and was rewarded after making it outside.

Quirks: he likes to lay on the bed, put his head off, and then slide fall off the bed all the way very dramatically.
He also likes to leave the bed half body at a time.
