My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome boy is called Merle Haggard and he is a purebred mini Aussie born on July 28th 2023. He is a full grown mini Aussie weighing 43 lb and his owner is having to start travel with work and will not be home enough due to heavy travels and having to board their dogs too often. Merle is the sweetest boy and loves to give kisses and wait for treats to be given. He is oh so loving and will bring you gifts like a ball for you to throw for him. He is playful and not overly active but he is not a couch potato like a hound dog. He is a miniature Australian Shepherd that needs a fenced yard and some property to run. He is not an apartment dweller. We are looking for an owner that may work from home or can take him to work as he likes the company of people. He is housebroken and uses a doggie door beautifully and loves to be in the great outdoors. This boy is crate trained at night and is very good with other dogs and never meets a stranger. He might even kiss you to death once you become friends. If you were interested in this boy who is fully vetted and ready for a new life please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.  He is ready to be adopted right after Thanksgiving

PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
