Sugar Bear is a shy and cutie pie male Yorkie/Terrier mix that is just a young 3 year old who weighs 11 pounds. You can see in his little scruffy face that he is trying to be brave and confident. It just has not come easy for him to even go out in public until recently. This boy needs someone that will talk to him in a confident tone of voice, who will take him for daily walks, go to Home Depot and walk around and see people, go to PetSmart and pick out a toy, or even go to a dog park where he can sit on the sidelines and just watch all the other confident dogs have fun. You have to help Sugar Bear trust the world and the people around him. He will be scared at first and we think Sugar Bear would need another dog to show him the ropes. He will need time to warm up over days and maybe a few weeks. Once he is there with you, then he is there forever. He gets along great with other dogs and could certainly live with a cat as well. We are requiring a fenced in yard and he does walk nicely on a leash. There are some training tricks that we can share with a new owner that will build his confidence. If you would like to find purpose in this world and give a shy boy a great home and watch him blossom in your love and care, then Sugar Bear is the dog to adopt. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com
PLEASE NOTE: Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region. Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.
