Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Onyx is a super snuggly kitten who loves love. He purrs when stroked and loves being picked up and held. He is interested in what you are doing and tries to be 'helpful' when you fold laundry. He enjoys chasing after balls, the laser, and can play alone, with humans, and with his siblings.

He is the kind of curious cat that will follow you, greet you at the door, and will showcase his love and affection by either winding around your legs or running beside you. Onyx does well with people, even guests, and enjoys living life to the fullest, when he isn't napping of course.

Must adopt with Shadow.

Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
