My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carl is one handsome and scruffy pooch who is ready to find love! This big sweet fella came to our shelter as a stray who was never claimed by an owner. We can`t understand it as Carl is a lovable and loyal boy! Carl is a bit nervous and shy when meeting new people (especially men) but once he knows you are a friend and he can trust you he warms up very quickly and loves getting all sorts of attention! Carl is an affectionate and snuggly boy who seems to get along well with other friendly and high energy dogs who share his enthusiasm for playtime. Carl has lots of energy and will do best in a home where he can get plenty of exercise and enrichment! Carl is going to be a fantastic companion dog for the right family!
Carl is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccines. Give us a call today to meet Carl!

More about this shelter

Eagle County Animal Shelter and Services handles all of the animal control and animal shelter services for Eagle County. We are a small shelter and are considered socially conscious, which means we are "no-kill" for space. We are always looking for volunteers, foster homes, and item donations. If you are interested in donating to the shelter we have a wish list available that includes lots of items that we use everyday here at our shelter to benefit the dogs and cats directly. Please call us at 970-328-DOGS if you are interested in volunteering. We love to have people come in to socialize our cats and walk and socialize the dogs. Come see us!!
