My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Kamie.  A sweet, fluffy young orange and white female kitty with an approximate birthdate of 03/24/2024 who is looking for her forever home.

Kamie grew up in a shelter environment, so she is cautious as first but once she trusts you, she is a purring, loving kitty who loves to give head bumps.  She has long, soft beautiful fur and is only around 7 lbs. Kamie currently lives with other cats and middle school aged kids. She is frightened of our rambunctious dog but may do well with others with slow introductions.

Kamie’s current favorite activity is eating.  In her foster home we are trying to let her know that she will always be fed so there’s no need to eat all of the food at once. She doesn’t agree and will let you know she’s hungry by her adorably squeaky meow. She also really enjoys chasing after cat toys and hoping for attention from her current humans. Whenever she is not being a curious and playful girl, she can be found snuggled up on the cat tree with her brother looking outside.

Kamie’s ideal home would include a fellow furry companion besides her human family, as she loves other cats.  She is a very intelligent kitty who is great at using the litter box and prefers horizontal scratching posts. If you are looking for an adorable new furry friend in your life, look no further.  Kamie would love to have her own home for the Holidays.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process includes adoption application which can be completed at our website wagsmn.org. Current fees can also be accessed on our website. After reviewing your application, a meeting is scheduled between you and the pet in the foster’s home or a neutral dog friendly place. If there are any resident dogs in your home, it is required that the dogs meet at this time. After the meeting, a home visit is scheduled and, if everything goes well with the visit, the adoption is finalized. A home visit by one of our representatives is required prior to finalizing any adoption, and we must meet all members of the household where the pet will be living sometime during the adoption process. We reserve the right to refuse any applicant for any reason Adoption fee includes: vet exam(s), spay/neuter, de-worming, heartworm test (if 6 months of age or older), vaccinations, microchip, and FIV/FeLv testing (for cats only). Email is the best way to get a fast response (wagswhiskersmn@gmail.com).
