My name is Dixie!

We got this shy little girl about 4 weeks ago from an auction. Although we weren't looking to get another dog at the time, she didn't get a bid so we were afraid of what may happen to her if she were to return back to the home she had come there from.
So we followed our heart and brought her home with us. It is very apparent that she was abused and neglected in her previous home. And we knew that it wouldn't be an easy road, but we were willing to give it a try just so she didn't have to face her previous conditions again. Needless to say, we have tried our best to help adapt to home life, but at this point we feel that she needs help beyond what we are able to give her. We simply are just not able to keep her any longer. I am hoping to find her someone that can help her start a journey of healing. I know in my heart that she has the potential to be a super loving dog, which is why I want so much to find the right person for her.
