My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lana is a gorgeous one-year old GS who was owner surrendered recently to our program. She was getting out of their yard and they decided that they didn't have time for her and decided to rehome her.

Inspite the change in her life it is clear to see that she loves people and is very affectionate, but she does not know her size. At 70 pounds she is a very healthy girl and we are working on training her not to jump on people when she is seeking attention. As much as she loves people, she is insecure around other dogs and barks when she is nervous. The person who adopts her will need to be dog savvy; especially with this breed. She will need an alpha personality type who is stong physically and mentally to guide Lana. She is so young that with the right training she will be amazing! Lana is soulful and it's obvious that she's a very loyal dog.

Lana is was recently tested and she is heartworm negative. We have her on a prevention and strongly suggest she remains on one for the rest of her life. In addition to being heartworm negative, she is up to date on her vaccinations and microchipped. Her coat is thick and will need a daily brushing and grooming from time to time. She has the best coat for cool temperatures.

We were told that she is friendly with cats, but as of right now she has not been cat tested in our program. Currently she is in Arkansas, but transport is available to New England.

Lanas adoption fee is $700 and that does cover the cost of HEARTS ground transportation.

Go meet their pets

We have many events in the Central Arkansas area! And if you are not in the Central Arkansas area, we are more than happy to send you videos and flood you with photos of your pup. :) We operate in New England as well, and typically are there for 4-5 days out of the month. Also, please speak to the foster parent to find out anything you'd like to know. We are more than happy to connect you!
