My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Donnie: Your Future Cuddle Buddy! Looking for a furry companion who
believes the best accessory is a lap? Meet Donnie, the 70-pound love
sponge! This yellow Labrador Retriever mix has mastered the art of
companionship and is on a mission to be your shadow. A Few Fun Facts About
Donnie: - Social Butterfly: Donnie craves your company and loves being
around people. - Car Ride Champion: Long drives are his favorite; he’s
always ready for adventures. - Homebody at Heart: Donnie prefers to relax
beside you in his cozy spot. He’s great at making new doggy friends,
especially with females! Want to Meet? Swing by the shelter to visit
Donnie. Adopt, Foster, or Just Spread the Word: If you can’t adopt,
consider fostering for a day, a weekend, or longer! Every little bit helps,
and you might just find your new best friend. Don’t let this sweetheart
wait any longer—come give Donnie the forever home he deserves!

More about this shelter

Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.

We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.

We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.

At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
