My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Harry, a big, lovable tabby with a heart as big as his paws! Harry is an affectionate and friendly cat who will make the perfect companion for anyone looking for a furry friend. He's a social boy who loves attention and enjoys being around people, making him a great addition to any home, including those with kids. Harry is very well-behaved-he uses his litter box like a pro and is a fan of scratching posts, so no worries about furniture getting ruined!

Harry is pretty easygoing when it comes to food. He enjoys dry food, although he's not too keen on wet food, and he can't resist his favorite treat-Temptations! If you're looking for a big-hearted, low-maintenance kitty who will shower you with love, Harry is your guy.

Harry is awaiting a dental but hopes to find his adoptive family first so he can settle in and wait for his surgery in his fur-ever home ♥

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
