My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Twix, a sweet and playful kitten looking for his forever home! This adorable little ball of fluff has the most charming personality, always ready to pounce on his favorite toys or curl up in your lap for a cozy nap. Twix has a gentle, affectionate nature and loves attention from his humans, making him the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loving furry friend.

Twix has two sisters and would do well in a home with a feline friend to show him the ropes. Due to his young age, he is very adaptable and would likely be fine with children and loud environments or a calm and quiet home as long as he gets lots of attention and time to play!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
