My name is Carmela!

Meet Carmela
Carmela is a sweet and tenderhearted little dog who is about 1 year old and weighs 13 pounds. She does have a brief warm-up period when meeting new people. Once she knows you will be kind to her, she loves to get attention and affection. Carmela has a very sweet soul, and would become very bonded with her new family.

She gets along well with the other dogs here at the shelter. She is a wonderful dog who just wants a family to call her own!

Carmela is located in at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to St Augustine, FL on December 21st. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $450. The fee includes the transport cost.

Carmela tested positive for Chagas disease and has started treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol.
