My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Lacie is an adorable spaniel/chihuahua mix who was rescued from Moreno Valley shelter in CA. She is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs 9lbs.

Foster Update: Fostering Lacie is a gratifying experience. She is clearly appreciative of being in a safe, loving environment where food, water and treats abound!  Her gentle disposition reminds me why I foster in the first place - to save and give wonderful dogs a second chance at a happy, forever home! Lacie is still adjusting but each day she seems more at ease and confident. She does well on leash; as soon as we get her leash out she comes running! She meets both dogs and people with curiosity and a calm demeanor.

If you want a snuggle buddy and some who LOVES it when you return, Lacie is your gal! She loves her people and wants to be wherever they are. If allowed, she would snuggle with her person all day long. I think she’d be a great office dog! She does have a playful side which is just starting to emerge. She reminds of a rabbit running in the backyard and chasing my golden retriever.

Lacie has done well with our 6 year old grandson so she should be fine in a home with older children, but her jumping tendencies may not be suitable for younger kids. She settles in her crate at night with some minor whining which seems to be diminishing each evening. She’s not a huge fan of the crate but is beginning to be more at ease in it. With Lacie’s love of people, her ideal home would be one where she can be an active member of the family and with her humans during the day. Right now, she continues to work on self confidence and some basic obedience so she can be a confident pet and welcome anywhere. She would benefit from a forever home that can continue her basic training.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, andhealth certificate.
