My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alfonso
Alfonso is a Wire hair terrier/Parson Terrier Retriever mix who is approximately 1.8 years old and weighs 33 pounds. He is a fun pup that loves to play with his people and other dogs.

Alfonso is a Wal-Mart greeter type and loves everyone. He is sociable and friendly, very fun, athletic and smart!!!

His zest for life is contagious, he is always so happy and is looking forward and is so ready for any adventure!

He loves to give lots of kisses and hugs!

He would be great for an active family that likes walks, hikes, running on the beach where he can jump into the water to frolic.

Alfonso is located in at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to St Augustine, FL on December 21st. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $450. The fee includes the transport cost.

If you would like to add this active cutie to your family, please review our process and complete an application here - https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt

Services our dogs receive prior to adoption:
Chagas Testing Heartworm and Tick Testing (age appropriate)
All age-appropriate vaccines
Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives
Spay/neuter surgery
Microchip

*The breed(s) listed are guessed and based on the dog's physical appearance*

Alfonso tested positive for Chagas disease and has started treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs. For more information, please review here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/chagas

More about this rescue

My name is Tracy. I started Tracy's Paws Rescue with my dear friend Rhonda Harmon. Texas has a lot of unwanted stray dog on the streets and in our shelters. We are dedicated to helping them find loving families. We rescue, spay/neuter, adopt out, transport, educate through the Live Like a Dog PAWS program and advocate for stronger laws and the enforcement of existing ones.
