Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Charlie, a stunning 1.5-year-old black German Shepherd with a lively personality and an unstoppable zest for life! Charlie has been through a lot, including a significant surgery for hip dysplasia, but she’s bounced back beautifully and is now working hard to rebuild her strength. With her boundless energy, she’s ready to embrace her next chapter in an active and loving home. Charlie will need continued and regular vet visits as well as a low calorie diet to help her fully recover! Charlie also needs to be on joint supplements and may need continued physical therapy the rest of her life!
Charlie has lived with another dog, though it wasn’t the right match. She may do well with a calm, laid-back canine companion who matches her energy in all the right ways. Charlie is crate trained and enjoys having a cozy space to call her own.
She loves people and has been a star at meeting new faces, spreading her charm wherever she goes. Older children would be the best fit for her, as she’s still learning that jumping up isn’t the proper way to show affection. Running in the yard and chasing toys are some of her favorite activities, though she’s a bit of a “toy terminator” and tends to destroy most of them.
Charlie is searching for a home where she can continue to build her muscles and burn off her energy in positive ways. If you’re ready for a devoted companion who will keep you on your toes and steal your heart, Charlie is waiting to meet you! We are open Thursdays 11-3 and by appointment only Friday through Sunday. Call our adoption center at 603-354-4004 for an appointment or visit our adoption center located at 101 West Swanzey Rd on Thursdays.
