My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🍊 Meet Clementine: Your Pocket-Sized Bundle of Joy! 🐾

Looking for a sweet little companion to brighten your days? Meet Clementine, a charming pint-sized pup who's waiting for her forever family. This 13-pound cutie may be small in stature, but she's got a heart of gold and personality for days!

Think of a delightful mix between a bouncy terrier and a herding-happy Corgi – that's our Clementine! With her adorably long body and short legs, she's like a living, breathing cartoon character who loves nothing more than playfully bouncing around and showing off her natural herding instincts.

While she's currently feeling a bit timid in the shelter environment (who wouldn't be?), Clementine's true nature shines through when she gets comfortable. She's a natural snuggler who forms beautiful bonds with her human friends. In fact, she's already proven herself to be quite the social butterfly – she recently had a successful meet-and-greet with a senior bulldog, showing she can get along wonderfully with other dogs!

Clementine would flourish in a loving home where she can come out of her shell and let her playful spirit soar. Whether you're looking for a cuddly companion or an entertaining friend for your resident dog, this little sweetheart could be your perfect match.

Ready to give this precious girl the loving home she deserves? Come meet Clementine – we have a feeling you'll fall in love with her just as quickly as we did!

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
