My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Lone Star. I am a 62lb Catahoula mix breed looking for my perfect home. Need a water boy? A dip in the pool is my favorite activity, I love a good swim. My coat has darkened in the Florida sun, but I am very much a Catahoula, I have the high energy and big personality to match it. At only 5 years old, I have spent over a year and a half in the shelter system, no one seems to truly understand and get me. I need to be the star of your home, an only animal, I am not good with dogs or cats. I am a very friendly boy, with lots of love to give. I am housetrained, I have the best leash manners around. I have already gotten my masters in the trick "Sit". I am a very friendly boy, I enjoy my people and meeting new friends. Please come see me at GCHS!
