What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Jax is truly one of the sweetest and most affectionate cats I've ever met, but my partner is severely allergic. He greets guests in my home, is always around for attention, and deserves so much love from his owners. He's currently 10, I adopted him 8 years ago from the Humane Society up in Milwaukee, WI.
I adopted a dog a few years ago and since then, as a single pet owner, Jax hasn't gotten as much attention from me. He is also on a urinary prescription diet because I discovered shortly after adopting him that he had some crystals. Since getting him on prescription food, he has only had urinary issues once or twice.
From his previous home, I think he would be good with older kids who know how to pet and care for him, but he did not respond well to my niece and nephew when they were younger and tried to grab him. He does still have his claws.
I've given him a really good life these past eight years, and I want to make sure someone is willing to do the same for him.
