My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kumato!

Kumato came to us from Inland Valley Humane Society S.P.C.A. on November 25th. She is 10 years old and weighs 18 lbs. Kumato is as pretty and sweet as can be! She likes to cuddle and takes treats very gently. She enjoys going on our weekly group hikes, walks nicely on leash, and has good endurance, easily going 30 minutes on the trails.

Kumato is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn what she is like in a home - while she gets lots of love & pampering!

Her Fling Mom reports:

"Kumato (aka Mattie) fling update:
1. She is potty trained- not a single accident!
2. Walks well on leash and doesn’t react to other dogs.
3. Did great during her bath.
4. She loves meal time and is super happy when she knows I’m preparing her food.
5. She’s a cuddle bug and loves to sleep with me but is also okay sleeping in a dog bed close by.
6. She did great when I was away for full days of work. I have a pet sitter that comes in to let my pups out for potty while I’m gone and my sitter gave Mattie rave reviews!
7. She loves treats and takes them very gently.
8. She can’t jump on furniture but has started to learn how to use doggie stairs. She will gladly take a boost so she can sit next to you.
9. Car ride? Easy peasy. She does really well!
10. She got along with my dogs. She didn’t play with them (which is totally okay) but was very respectful of them. I didn’t see any food or bed guarding.
11. She also didn’t mind my two parrots. They are out of their cages when I’m home and didn't mind when they walked past her.
12. She is a happy and loving little girl. She will come up to you for pets and always seems to have a tail wag going.

Mattie is a love bug and an easy pup to have around. She would love her forever home for the holidays!"
