My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Harlow! I'm a clever girl who loves to explore. Every nook and cranny is a new adventure for me. Give me a puzzle toy, and I'll have it figured out in no time. My curiosity keeps me young at heart and always ready for playtime. I'm not just all fun and games though, I have a soft side too. I love snuggling up for some quiet time after a day of exploration. I'm the perfect mix of playful and sweet, smart and curious. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my love and curiosity. Adopt me, and together, we'll never stop exploring.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
