Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi hoomans! I am Bilbo, and I'm looking for my next great adventure, hopefully with you! Why don't you come meet me today? Maybe I will give you one of my famous hugs! Just look how excited I am.
A team member adds, "Bilbo is a very sweet guy and pretty gentle for his size. When I walked into his kennel, he stood on his back legs, put his front paws on my shoulders and gave me some gentle kisses. He was just so happy to see me. Once we got outside, he walked very well on his leash and enjoyed exploring. He takes direction well - simple verbal cues to move along or change direction. He was politely curious about other doggos he saw, and he was very friendly to other humans. He would thrive in a home where his humans have time to give him some attention and help him settle in to his forever home."

More about this shelter
Founded in 1965, Animal Humane New Mexico is the state’s leading private 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal welfare organization serving more than 10,000 homeless and at-risk dogs & cats each year. We never euthanize based on age or length of stay and since 2010, have re-homed 100% of healthy pets in our care. We are nationally recognized as a top U.S. charity based on financial accountability, transparency, and administrative-to-program cost ratios. Animal Humane is among only 9 percent of nationwide charities to have received five consecutive annual four-star evaluations, the highest possible, from Charity Navigator, including a top score of 100 for accountability and transparency.
