Hamm loves people, does well with other dogs and is medium energy can go for a hike with you and then relax at home! Beautiful brown and black Shepherd coloring with her black mask. Hamm is a gorgeous, adventurous, curious, confident gal. She loves to lead the way. Can be a bit jumpy especially when first meeting, but is getting better. Hamm enjoys attention and being petted. Knows sit and takes treats with a soft mouth. Hamm is such an affectionate, excited girl. She does great on the leash and is really perceptive when it comes to corrections, she knows what shes supposed to be doing and sometimes just needs a reminder. Shes a great car dog and would do well on hikes or longer walks. She has a very big happy personality and is very respectful when it comes to using her manners with people. Meet the dog/puppy at weekly adoption events (every Saturday) Meet cat/kitten at area locations including our Kitty Korner (1649 Main St)

Interview

Interview to see if the pet will be a good fit into the home.

Approve Application

The application is completed and approved.

Sign Adoption Contract

Meet the pet. A short interview will be conducted. Fill out an adoption application and contract and you can take your new companion home. We are always here to support you after the adoption with any questions or concerns.

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events every Saturday from 10 to 1 at the Grand Junction Petco, PetSmart or Chow Down for dogs and puppies. Cats and kittens can be seen by appointment at Grand Rivers Humane Kitty Korner (1649 Main St, Grand Junction 970.257.0070) or anytime at Petco, PetSmart and J&M Aquatics. All of our adoptable pets come from Mesa County Animal Services.
