Meet Callie, who comes to us from the community. She was picked up by animal control in Bedford, TX and when we searched for her owner, who adopted her back in 2019, we discovered they were deceased. She was transported back to NC into our care and recently adopted again, but they are needing to rehome her because she doesn't seem to have the needed patience to get along with their high energy puppy. While Callie does get along with dogs, she would be better in a home with either no other dogs, or with older dogs that are low energy like her. She is a 4-year-old, 48 lb., Lab mix. Callie is housetrained, crate trained, calm, fully vaccinated, spayed, walks well on a leash, loves treats, loves kids, trained on the underground fence, and likes to cuddle on the couch. She also loves to just lay in the sun outside in the backyard. Callie knows her basic commands such as sit, down, stay, and doesn't beg. She is shy at first and warms up quickly.
