Hi, my name is Scamp and I’m a handsome male Schnauzer about 5 years old, 16.8 lbs and Texas is weird. Unbelievably, I showed up at someone's doorstep in San Antonio with no collar, tags, or microchip. I had long matted hair, was not neutered, and nobody claimed me! I just don't get it and neither does the lady who is now my foster mom because I am a very nice dog. I’m happy and friendly, love everyone including strangers and I’m sweet. I love soft chew toys and have a favorite donut toy I like to toss into the air. I’m affectionate but not slobbery or trying to lick you. I’m well-behaved, love walks and car rides, and I’m working on housebreaking and doing really well. My foster mom says I’m always happy to meet new people and new dogs and my little stump tail wags a million miles an hour. I’m freshly groomed, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to get the heck out of Texas! I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today and bring me home!

Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
