Oh my goodness... meet Duke! Duke is a 1 year old, 100+ pound Great Dante pup with a heart as big as his paws. Duke is neutered, up-to-date with his vaccines, and ready to find his forever family. If you are looking for a giant cuddle buddy who loves kids (recommend 3 and up), and is a fantastic couch warmer- Duke might be your match. Duke is also good with other dogs, but because he's still trying to understand his size we would recommend dogs that are not on the smaller side. We're unsure how he feels about cats!
Duke is a playful pup who loves to romp around, but snuggling up with his people is his most favorite activity. He won't turn down a nice walk and some treats, though. Duke is working on learning manners and basic commands, and he's getting better at this every day! His new family will need to commit to continuing training to help him become the best boy he can be. That is a non-negotiable to set him (and his new family) up for success! He just wants to make his people proud.
Since Duke is a big guy and has a lot of energy, a spacious home with a fenced backyard is required so he can stretch his long legs and play safely. We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs.
All our dogs have been treated with de-wormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 months or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption.
We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
