My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

 ~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption,  things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your  adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam  and follow up exams.~

Health: She had luxating patella surgery on her right rear right leg. She is doing fantastic on it now! ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam *****

Temperament: Meet Patty, the near perfect pup who is another keeper in our foster program. Patty gets along well with other dogs, although she may assert her boundaries when it comes to personal space. She isn't very playful with other pups, but she enjoys their company.

Patty walks like a dream on a leash and absolutely loves car rides. She appears to be housebroken, but consistent training will be key. With a medium activity level, Patty would fit in well with a family with older children, a single person, or an elderly individual.

Patty has an even temperament and plays with toys occasionally. While we are unsure how she would react to cats, she remained calm and curious when encountering one on a walk.

This sweet girl adores treats but can be a bit too eager when taking them. Some gentle training will help her learn to be more patient. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Patty is the perfect match for you. --

Please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
