Personality | Moose is an adorable, playful little pup who loves all people, other dogs and stuffed toys.He has been settling right into his foster home and loves his foster sister laborador and his foster sister kitty. Moose has a very active brain and nose and would do best in a house where he has lots of opportunities to be active and and get out his playful and curious energy. He is very smart and highly food motivated, which makes training easy. He already has learned several commands at his foster house including sit, stay, shake, and bed. He picks up on new tricks fast! He would love a home where he can continue to engage his active brain. Moose also knows when to hit the snooze button and has been taking big naps with his foster family on the sofa and in his new bed. He likes having a soft, warm spot to curl up. He would make a great companion dog and is very loyal and sweet. He is eager to please and learn and would make a great partner on your outdoor adventures! He has a very sweet temperament and is very cuddly! He loves car rides and usually once in his puppy seat will fall right to sleep!
Story | Moose was rescued from a high-kill shelter in New Mexico.
Other Dogs | Great! Moose has met dogs of all sizes and age. He gets along with everyone! He has been loving exploring his new world with his foster family and dogs. He would do great in a house with other dogs where he can settle into his new pack's routine. He does great with playing, and is not aggressive or territorial with food or toys.
Cats | Moose is new to cats but warming up to them quickly! He is very curious and is learning boundaries with how to be a good cat brother.
Children | Friendly! Moose would love a family with kids to play with.
Training | Moose is still a baby, so he has a lot to learn! He's treat motivated and eager to please. He is fully house-broken and has not had a single accident in his foster home. He is learning his new routine quickly and takes quickly to new tricks and commands. Positive reinforcement with treats, toys, and praise has worked best for him. He has an active nose and brain and so learning the rules of your house will be an important skill for him!
Leash | The leash is completely new to little Moose but he is not afraid of it and quickly learning it is not a chew toy He has been working on leash commands with his foster family and is doing great! He still has some things to work on, but he loves meeting new people and dogs when out and about!
Activity Level | Medium-high. Moose is a young Lab mix with puppy energy. He will do best with an adopter that can provide regular excercise, socialization and training. He loves to play then take a long nap.
Health Notes | Healthy! Moose is up to date on vaccines.
Thank you! |
