Cooper is still waiting for his perfect family! Cooper is a very special boy that deserves a forever home. He is a male pit bull and is estimated to be about 9 months old. He currently weighs about 45 pounds. He will be on the smaller side for a pit bull. This boy is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet! Everyone falls in love with him instantly. He is a sweet, calm, quiet love bug! He loves people, including kids! Cooper is potty trained, although he needs to still be taken out frequently. His fosters have learned the signs he gives to let them know he needs to potty. He is also crate trained and actually chooses to hang out in his crate at times. It is his safe space. Cooper enjoys short walks and playing with toys. He will play with other dogs, but does best with dogs smaller than him or very calm dogs, such as a senior dog. The reason for this is that Cooper is learning to navigate his world. He was diagnosed with a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia. This condition affects his balance and coordination. This condition is not progressive and Cooper actually has a mild case. He may appear to be clumsy, or you may see him high step, but he is not in pain or discomfort. This is the world he knows and he just compensates. Cooper also has some vision impairment. Bright light makes it harder for him to see, so he might bump into something while walking around. He relies on his humans to help him be safe. Despite all of this, Cooper is the most lovable dog and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. His ideal home would be one with minimal stairs and a calm environment. Cooper just wants to be loved and in return he will love his humans right back! Let's get this deserving boy a forever home! Cooper's adoption fee is $450 which goes towards neutering at our vet, vaccines and medical care up to adoption, microchip and costs associated with fostering.
