Dog's Name: Dobby (DOB1124ALAMD)
Estimated Breed: Miniature Pinscher MIX
Approximate Age: 1 year
Approximate Weight: 10 lbs
Currently Living at: Boarding
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi there, I'm Dobby! I'm a young guy and it shows -- I love to play with toys and play chase with other dogs. My friendly nature makes me a hit with both small and large dogs, and I'm OK with cats as long as they're OK with me. I also know how to chill out when I'm back inside, and I can be your snuggle buddy, or just hang out in my bed until it's time for another round of fun. There's nothing better than snuggling up after a day of play. I learn really fast, particularly if treats are involved. I'm a great portable size and I'm not a big barker, so I could be OK for apartment life as long as I get enough exercise, play time and socialization. I'm a beautiful red color and when I'm excited my great big, pointy ears that stick out sideways from my head, so I might like Yoda. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my love and loyalty. Adopt me, and let's make beautiful memories together!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org
