My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adopt Mila 💕
Say hello to Mila, the 30 pound stunning black and brown Collie/Aussie mix! Born on September 25, 2023, Mila is already spayed and working her way through vaccinations, so she’ll be ready to head to her forever home soon. 🐶💖
Her foster family is getting to know her, and although Mila’s full personality is still emerging, we can already see she’s going to be a true heart-stealer! 🌈 Keep an eye out for more updates as she settles in and her quirks and charms shine through.
Curious if Mila might be your perfect match? With LCDR’s foster-to-adopt program, you can spend time with this sweet girl to see if it’s meant to be. 💫

More info:
Mila is a stunning 1-year-old 30lb Australian Collie mix with a sweet and friendly personality that will steal your heart! Her veterinarian-estimated birthday is September 25, 2024. Found as a stray on the streets of Phoenix at just 5 months old, Mila has come a long way and is ready to find her forever family. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccines.
About Mila:
• Age: Just over 1 year old
• Breed: Australian Collie mix
• Personality: Friendly, loving, and playful – great with kids and small dogs.
• Training:
o Doggy door trained
o Knows how to sit for treats like a pro making training much easier🐾
o Enjoys puzzles and busy toys to keep her sharp and engaged
o Not yet fully leash trained but eager to learn!
• Social Skills:
o Mila adores kids and has spent time with children ages 5, 7, 9, and 14. But we are suggesting only older children since she he still learning boundaries. She loves their energy and shows no fear of men.
o She currently shares her home with an 8-lb Yorkie, and they play together all day! While she’s comfortable with smaller dogs, Mila is still working on building confidence around larger dogs.
o Cats: Unknown compatibility.
o Crate Training: Mila is not crate trained.
What Mila Needs:
Mila would thrive in a home with a loving family who can continue her training and help her gain confidence on a leash and with bigger dogs. She’d love a playful companion her size or smaller, and older kids to share her adventures with. Mila’s ideal family will appreciate her playful energy, love for puzzles, and sweet snuggles after a long day of fun. She bonds quickly to her human.
Mila would do best in a home with a yard. She loves to play! She also likes to enjoy the sun and take in her surroundings. She is not a fan of being left alone in the back yard.
Mila lacks confidence around new dogs in new settings. She will need a slow introduction to other dogs.
Mila’s most admirable trait is that even though only she knows what her early life was like while being a stray, she still loves without hesitation. If you’re ready to welcome a beautiful, loyal, and fun-loving dog into your life, Mila is waiting to meet you. She’s the perfect mix of charm, smarts, and sweetness, and she can’t wait to find her forever home!
