My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet George! Get ready to fall in love with this adorable bundle of fur who is very charming and full of personality. He is extremely curious, spirited, and adventurous which can get him into all sorts of trouble if not careful. Orange cats are known for their special brand of crazy. Whether you're looking for a playful companion or a cuddle buddy, George has the perfect mix of adventure and affection to make him the ideal addition to your family. He would likely do well with children or other pets with proper introductions.
Adopting a kitten is a big responsibility and a lifelong commitment. These cuties will grow into adult cats who will need your care, attention, and affection for many years to come. Proper nutrition, regular vet check-ups, and a safe, enriching environment are key to helping them thrive. Kittens especially need plenty of mental stimulation through play, interactive toys, and positive socialization to grow into well-rounded, happy cats. And, of course, there will be plenty of love and affection to give back in return! If you're ready for the long-term commitment of nurturing a playful, loving companion, George is eager to join your family and fill your life with joy, laughter, and a touch of magic.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
