My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miss Dottie found herself pregnant and in the shelter in Yuma where she had a really difficult time with an upper respiratory infection and was put on isolation where she really struggled and deteriorated in the kennel being shut down. Dottie was showing signs of pregnancy and the shelter then spayed and terminated the puppies leaving Dottie alone and also dealing with hormonal changes. Just what we know of Dottie's life has been less than ideal but when she came into rescue all we can do is move forward each day.
Dottie is such a petite cute little girl with so much love. She's so incredibly sweet and gentle with people but loves to play with dogs. Dottie is good and quiet in a crate but would do best with a family that can give her enough play time through a playmate, walks or training outside of a crate to keep her mentally happy and healthy.
We would love for you to meet this beautiful, sweet girl in her foster home.

Additional adoption info

We strive to make the best matches between our animals and adoptive families. On dogs over a year of age we offer a 7 day trial / foster to adopt option in order for families and dogs to experience daily life and further determine if the dog/family is a good match. However, we will take back any previously adopted animals or assist families in finding homes in unforeseen circumstances that occur that the family is unable to keep the dog adopted from our rescue. We also offer continued contact and support to families of our animals when needed such as training suggestions, recommendations for vets/trainers as well as simply sharing life updates as we truly value and deeply love every animal that comes through our lives and rescue.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue that loves animals and strives to give dogs, puppies and other animals the best chance at the life possible. The core value of our rescue is to love and cherish all animals that need care, training and a home to live out their lives. Our rescue is dedicated to our beloved daughter Rachel who lost her life by a gun shot June 4, 2022. She had such a love for all animals and wanted to see that all were loved. We will continue to help animals in need in honor of our daughter.
