My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Azul is a stunning 4-month-old pitty puppy with a heart as big as her beautiful eyes. Rescued from a hoarding situation, Azul grew up surrounded by many dogs of all shapes and sizes—and she adores every one of them! While her early days were spent in the company of her canine family, she didn’t get as much one-on-one time with humans. As a result, Azul is learning what it feels like to be loved and cared for by people.

This sweet girl absolutely *melts* when she gets kisses and cuddles, especially if you’re sitting down. She’s still a little nervous around people standing tall above her, but with patience and gentle reassurance, she’s quickly building her confidence. Azul is never aggressive—she’s pure sweetness and has already shown how much she wants to trust and connect.

Azul would thrive in a calm and loving home where she can take her time adjusting and discovering that people bring kindness and joy. She’s ready to start her new chapter, filled with snuggles, belly rubs, and all the love she missed out on before.

Are you the one who can show Azul just how wonderful life can be? She’s waiting to be your loyal, loving companion!
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.November 25, 2024, 9:54 pm

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
