My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello from Texas, I am a pretty Lab/Dachshund mix named Gretchen. I’m almost 5 months old, weigh 15 lbs, and I was one of 4 puppies from an oops-a-daisy litter and our owner wasn't taking care of us, so 4 Little Paws decided to help find us all wonderful forever homes. We are now vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and ready to meet you!

I am a happy girl, shy at first but love people, kids, and other dogs and I love to pass out kisses to all the other dogs at my foster home. I love toys and treats, my lambie plush, tennis balls, squeakers, pets and snuggling beside my family when we are relaxing on the couch. I have a medium energy and a waggly tail, I’m well-behaved, housebroken, and rarely bark. My foster mom says I am the sweetest girl and some lucky family will be thrilled to find me and call me their forever dog. My future looks bright, and I am so looking forward to joining a wonderful family anywhere on the East Coast! Inquire about me today and bring me home!

* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
