Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This gorgeous girl is our second Winnie (fka Porsche) in the rescue, and we couldn’t resist naming her because she reminds us so much of alumni Winston with her pouty, mean-mugging lips that are just begging for smooches!
Winnie came to us from Northern Ocean County Animal Shelter, where she was struggling in the kennel environment. It’s loud, overwhelming, and tough on some dogs, so the amazing shelter staff moved her into an exam room—and it made all the difference! She began to relax, becoming more comfortable around staff and volunteers.
But the real magic happened yesterday! One of our incredible volunteers, Lex, brought her dog Brodie to meet Winnie. It only took a walk and a few sniffs for Winnie to light up! Suddenly, her tail was wagging, and she was seeking pets and affection like a whole new dog. Watching her blossom was heartwarming, and we’re thrilled that Lex will be fostering her as she searches for her forever home.
Winnie is around 2 years old, UTD on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. She’s dog-friendly, unfazed by cats, and absolutely needs to live with another dog to thrive. Her skin still needs some TLC, and she’ll see our vet for a wellness check on Friday.
She’s currently available for foster-to-adopt until medically cleared. If you’re interested in giving this beautiful girl the home she deserves, apply today at pittiesandpals.com.
Welcome to your fresh start, Winnie—we’re so excited for your future!

More about this rescue
Pitties and Pals Rescue, Inc. is (a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit). Our mission is to rescue dogs and educate the public. Although our main focus is the bully breed, we are committed to all dogs in need. We believe RESCUE involves a multitude of approaches that includes liberating dogs from at risk situations, whether in a shelter or with an owner in need of assistance. While adoption is always the ultimate goal, we believe transitioning into foster care allows for socialization and training that are key components to a successful placement.
Pitties and Pals volunteers are also committed to changing the negative public perception of the Bully Breed. As such, we welcome opportunities to heighten awareness and enhance education in a public forum through our personal stories and positive experiences.
