My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aspen is a sweet and playful cat that flops and rolls all around the house. His nickname in the Old City Adoption Center was "seal" because the way he rolled around and asked for tummy rubs (which he actually loves). He loves to switch between playing with a laser pointer and wand toy which he will chase all day long. Aspen is a curious fellow and will stand up on his hind legs to check out any area that he cannot see on all fours. He will also be attentive to all noises in or outside the home. He also is the best cuddle partner and will cuddle himself next to you or wedge himself between you and the arm of the couch. He loves to be nearby and is always down for pets but will let you know when he is all done with attention. Aspen currently takes one capsule of medicine per meal which he devours easily with wet food. Aspen likes meeting new people very slowly and with the use of treats to lure him out of his hiding spots. Once he is comfortable, he will cuddle with new people and ask for pets! Aspen did live with other cats and children previously but would do best as an only cat with no small children.

Aspen is declawed in his front two paws which can lead to some pain and litter or urination problems with cats. Despite this and with the help of some medication, Aspen has shown no signs of pain and has used the litter beautifully in the Old City Adoption Center and in foster care. Aspen is also a little overweight, but with proper portion control he has been steadily losing weight and may need help continuing this weight loss journey.

Aspen is an easy going, treat loving, and friendly guy that would love to meet you!
