Meet Buddy

Buddy is a handsome 3-year-old blue cat with a heart full of love and affection. He adores lap time and thrives on close companionship, making him the perfect cuddle buddy. Though Buddy doesn’t seem to engage in play much yet, it’s possible he simply needs time or encouragement to discover his playful side.

Buddy’s journey has been one of resilience. After being abandoned by a neighbor who moved away, he found a safe haven and has received a full vet checkup and neuter. During his visit, it was discovered that Buddy is FIV+. However, with proper care, FIV+ cats like Buddy can live long, healthy, and happy lives.

Buddy’s gentle and sweet nature makes him an ideal companion for someone looking for a devoted friend. His vaccinations are already scheduled for early December, and he’s ready to transition into his forever home—a place where he can feel secure, cherished, and loved.

You may visit our cats at the Dancing Cat Cat lounge by appointment, or via Zoom for cats in foster homes.

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to saving local at-risk shelter pets from the San Jose Animal Care Center. Our goal is to give adoptable animals a chance to shine in a casual and relaxed environment, and expand opportunity for adoptions, thereby reducing the euthanasia rate in Silicon Valley. The Dancing Cat also seeks to create a community of cat lovers by providing a place for fun social and educational events.
