We have a special girl looking for a special home.

Meet Franny. Franny recently came to the shelter after she was found walking dangerously close to a major highway. Her guardian angels quickly pulled over and safely secured her. Since a hotel was located nearby they went to check for a possible owner. Much to their dismay they were informed Frannys owners who had been staying at the hotel left her behind and then the hotel put her outside.

Franny has an incredible resilient spirit. She entered the shelter chatty and happy and requested non stop attention. And attention she got. She has quickly become a volunteer favorite, following us around and meow begging for attention.

Upon her arrival, her medical tests indicated she has hyperthyroidism, and is currently on medicine for the condition. Franny is looking for another angel to look past her age and medical needs and give her a safe and loving home she so deserves.

Franny is 14 years old and is spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for leukemia/fiv, and is microchipped.

FOR DOGS ...Potential adopters will need to complete the Canine Application which requires landlord reference or proof of home ownership along with vet reference and a non family personal reference. Some instances may require a home inspection. We require a meet and greet with all household members and resident dogs present at the shelter. The adoption fees are $175 to $400 ($175 for large senior dogs, $200 for small senior dogs, $300 for adults, and $400 for puppies under 1 year).

FOR CATS ...Please review the Feline Adoption Application (below) for adult cats before committing to an adoption. If you wish, you may print and fill out the form and bring it with you to adoption day.

FOR KITTENS ...Potential adopters will need to complete a Kitten Application and provide proof of vaccinations and spay/neuter for other animals living in the home. Renter must also provide a copy of their rental agreement showing pet allowance. The adoption fee is $130 for a DSH kitten, $160 for a DLH, specialty and purebred kittens. All kittens are flea treated, wormed, leukemia tested, and are up to date on shots as appropriate for their age. Adopter is responsible for remaining vaccines. Spay/neuter and microchipping is included in the adoption fee and will be done by the shelter when the kitten reaches the appropriate age.
