My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey bro, Broski wants to be your best bro for life! This goofy guy is a nine-month-old, 65-pound German Shepherd and Rottweiler mix who greets everyone with friendliness and energy! He loves people of all ages, especially kiddos who will play and snuggle with him. He previously lived with cats and dogs; we know he would love to join a family with other furry friends. Broski is a bright boy who knows all his basic commands but needs a little help mastering the art of potty training. He gets a little bit stressed when left home alone, so we recommend his forever family spend some time helping him feel comfortable in a heavy-duty kennel where he can be safe and snug while they`re away.

Broski is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. You can visit him at the shelter Tuesdays through Sundays from 8:30 to 5:00 PM!

More about this shelter

OUR MISSION

We strive to ensure a safe, healthy, and loving environment that will provide temporary shelter for abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals and to find each animal a new and prosperous home.
The Babinski Foundation is a private 501c3 animal shelter located in Pequot Lakes, MN. We are a safe place to surrender dogs and cats. We also are a stray drop-off facility for stray cats and dogs.

OUR STORY

The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
