Jambalaya is an affectionate 2-year-old tan pit bull mix looking for his forever home. He’s a strong, enthusiastic guy who thrives with a harness and loves to explore with his nose during loose-leash walks. At adoption events, he’s shown he can be calm, focused, and responsive with the help of treats — he’s incredibly food-motivated and loves earning rewards for good behavior!

Jambalaya enjoys meeting new people and soaks up attention, although he can get a little excited at times. Short, calm petting sessions paired with tasty treats help him settle beautifully. With his love for learning and his eagerness to please, he will excel with someone committed to ongoing training and enrichment.

While he has a big personality, Jambalaya does best with calm interactions and a structured environment. He’s working on his reactivity toward high-energy dogs and kids, so a home without young children and one where he’s the only pet would be ideal for now. With consistent guidance and positive reinforcement, he’s sure to grow into an even more wonderful companion.

Jambalaya would thrive with an active adopter who enjoys exploring and providing plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He’s happiest on walks or relaxing with a treat (though chews should be enjoyed in a calm, controlled setting).
