Roman's last chance

Roman wandered into my back yard a few weeks ago. After initially barking he quickly came to trust me with the help of a few treats. I did some searching and found that Roman had arrived in the area a few days before he appeared in my yard. The person had picked him up to adopt him and when they got to his home Roman slipped his collar and bolted. The guy came to my house to retrieve Roman but ended up leaving him here bacuse he was afraid to handle him. I tracked down an original owner of Roman and found that she had him from a puppy to early October but had to give him up due to a change in living conditions. He was born 12/22/22. He is very friendly with us ( two adults ), our Labrodoodles and our cat. He has been good with our grandson. He loves truck rides and snuggling at home. Roman barks at other adults and it takes time for him to warm up to them. He seems nervous or protective initially.

We cant keep Roman and he needs a home ASAP.
