Hi, I’m Spruce! I’m a 3 1/2 month old mixed puppy and will likely be a smaller medium size dog. I absolutely love other dogs! I am a chewer, but only when you hand me something to chew on! My favorite has to be stuffed toys or bones at the moment. I’m currently in a household with cats, and I’m not too sure how to feel about them, but for now I keep a distance so they don’t get mad at me (they’re kind of scary but I want to be friends with them!) I love being outside and rolling in the grass and now that my cast is off I can run and play with everyone. I love love love people, but I am shy for the first few minutes with a new person. As much as I need play buddies, toddlers don’t seem to understand what I’m trying to say and they can be a little frustrating, I much prefer kids who are old enough to know how to play right and know to respect boundaries! I promise I’m as sweet as they come, I just want to cuddle and be the perfect family dog. (I’m already crate trained!).

We do allow a short trial. Then contract and fee paid online.

Additional adoption info

We are extremely thorough with our adoption process. Our goal is to find the best fit for our dogs. We reserve the right to deny anyone a dog if we feel the applicant is not qualified or is not a good fit for the dog at our discretion. We require two personal references that we call to check character and get a recommendation on why or why not the applicant is a good candidate. Also, we call the vet reference to be sure the applicants current dog is current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. The home check is mandatory to be sure the applicant lives where they say they live and the pet will live in a safe environment.

More about this rescue

The Charity's specific purpose is to rescue lost or abandoned dogs from shelters, from the streets or from owners who are no longer able to care for them. Our goal is to prevent further euthanasia of these animals. All dogs receive medical care and behavioral training as needed to prepare them for a new home.
We do not have a facility.
All of our dogs are in foster homes.
The charity will also focus on efforts to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their animals to prevent the overpopulation of animals in Texas.
Our adoption fee is $300 which includes alteration, vaccines, microchip, training program in some cases & any medical treatments needed for each dog to be 100% healthy and successful in a home. Must have an approved application to set up a meet and greet.
